(N ZP A ‘Reuter—Copyright) LEEDS. • Australia kept alive its I hopes of winning the threei match Rugby league series [against Britain with a convincing, 14-6, win in the I second test on Saturday. ■ Britain won the first test at Wembley, and everything now rests on the third at Warrington next Saturday. Australia’s changes from the side beaten at Wembley made all the difference. The Kangaroos were too strong for Britain, which gave a disappointing performance in both the forwards and the backs.

It was a bruising match, and in the second half Britain lost its front row forward, A. Lockwood, who was sent off for a high tackle on R. [Fulton. Britain led 6-4 at half-time •after the prop, T. Clawson, ; had kicked three penalties. The full-back, G. Eadie, who was making his first international appearance, landed five goals for Australia. Fulton dropped a goal, and the captain, R. McCarthy, scored a try.
