Medical centre with 12 suites

A medical centre costing $200,000 is to be built at 172 Bealey Avenue, near Colombo Street. It will contain 12 suites for doctors, dentists and physiotherapists, and the promoters hope to obtain planning permission to include a dispensary. Each suite will be 462 sq ft, and it will be possible for two or more to be combined to accommodate larger practices. As they are being built for sale, the units will have separate titles. Other provisions include 40 off-street parking spaces, and a separate, 330 sq. ft suite for nursing staff. Mr W. H. Todd, of Warwick Todd, Ltd, said yesterday that the venture was being promoted by a Christchurch businessman, in conjunction with a builder, both of whom wished to remain anonymous at present. The architects are Trengrove, Trengrove and Marshall.
