Week of Prayer

Members of the Young Men’s Christian Association and the Young Women’s Christian Association held a combined church service at the Opawa Baptist Church last evening to celebrate the world-wide Week of Prayer and world fellowship. The Rev. A. H. McLeod preached the sermon, and the Rev. J. Curnow spoke at a social hour after the service. Todd Foundation Applications are being sought for grants from the first year’s income of the slm Todd Foundation. Formed in December last year, the foundation has been established to provide assistance in New Zealand and overseas to institutions and organisations for charitable, community, cultural, and philanthropic purposes. Application forms will be available from P.O. Box 2295, Wellington. Applications will close on February 28.
