North-west Australia
The wild and isolated north-west of Australia was, until recently, largely unexplored: an unknown land. However, large develf opment projects are moving J into the sparsely populated country, changing the old I way of life. A documentary in colour shows the essence of the vast country and the variety of its people. Using a vocal musical score to tell part of the ■ story, “The Unknown : Land” records this process :of change in the north west iof Australia. “The Unknown Land” screens on Thursday afternoon.
