Man trapped for an hour
Firemen, police and an ■ ambulance man worked for an hour to free the dr r of a concrete truck which overturned in Annex Road, near Sunnyside Hospital, about 8.30 a.m. on Saturday. The accident occurred when the truck, driven by! Gary Patrick, aged 22, of 377 Greers Road, pulled to; the side of the road to let al car pass. The truck struck a rut, careered to the opposite side of the road and overturned. {lt slid through a gorse hedge and stopped against a pole on its roof. { Mr ’’atrick was pinned in the cab between the back of the seat and the roof. He [was made comfortable by a iSt John ambulance man, [while firemen cut away {parts of the cab and steering column: He was eventually [freed and taken to Christ{church Hospital, where he ’was treated for a minor arm I injury and discharged.
