MISS GRIGG TO DEFEND TITLES
Miss S. Grigg, holder of the open, women’s and, with R. Murfitt, the doubles championships, Will defend all three titles in the Canterbury Croquet Association’s diamond anniversary tournament, which starts on Monday.

Murfitt, a young player who is steadily coming to the fore in New Zealand croquet, is the South Island open champion and holds the island doubles title with D. Bullock (Otago). The holder of the Canterbury men’s title, Murffitt won the provincial senior handicap singles this year, as well as the South Island handicap singles for the third time in four years. Miss Grigg broke into his sequence of victories in 1972. 1969 INTERNATIONAL Another well performed competitor in the tournament will be J. W. McNab, an international player in 1969 and a Canterbury champion several times since his first [successes in the national junior championships of 1964. IHe has won the South Island!
