SHEEP: All lambs should be drenched with ‘Nilverm’ at weaning, though with the current value of animals a pre-weaning drench may be considered a worthwhile exercise. Where tapeworms are present rriix ‘Mansonil’ with ‘Nilverm’. From weaning onwards drench
with ‘Nilverm’ at monthly intervals until- the autumn. Alternatively, draft and drench the remainder throughout the season. Young stock destined for use as replacements should also be protected against lungworm during the weaning to autumn period.
NOTE: Because the lungworm life cycle takes only 4-6 weeks to complete, alternating drenches will undermine the lungworm control achieved with ‘Nilverm’. I CATTLE: Lungworm control is J vital in all calves in a dairying or ; dairy-beef situation. Therefore they should be drenched with ‘Nilverm" at weaning, and then at monthly intervals until the autumn. YEARLING CATTLE: The latent trial work has shown that a 2 or 3 drench programme during tfce spring and early summer achieve significant weight gains,
