Rana favoured at Franklin
“The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND. After her fine effort to run Marie Gibbins close at Alexandra Park on October 24, Rana makes strong appeal in the Franklin Handicap, the first leg of the T.A.B. double at the Franklin Trotting Club’s meeting at Alexandra Park tomorrow night.
It was only Rana’s second start of the season, and It is reasonable to assume she will be improved. Her main opposition may [come from Scottish Foil and I Cardigan Bridge, but there is also sure to be solid backing for Roval Raider, Mathias and Paul Gentry. Casper might be I dangerous if he happened to begin correctly for a change. ; There is also a capacity field in the second leg, the Paerata i Handicap.
