NOT ON VOYAGE

This old car, nick-named “Ziggy,” has been parked in Cranmer Square for several months. Last autumn’s winds blew leaves from the surrounding trees through the open rear window and partly filled the rear footwell. A note has been left on the steering wheel by a prospective buyer, together with his telephone number. The car carries registration plates, but has not been registered for 1973-74. The Ministry of Transport has been unable to trace the owner, who is believed to be a student, possibly living in Australia. If the owner is not traced, the Ministry may have the car towed away, leaving space for other vehicles to park.
