Registrar. _75481 MASSEY UNIVERSITY PALMERSTON NORTH LECTURER IN DAIRY HUSBANDRY’ APPLICATIONS are invited; for the position of Lecturer | in the Dairy Husbandry De-, partment, Massey University.; The appointee will be; responsible to the Head of the Dairy Husbandry Department. His duties will include supervision and co-ordination of two dairy units, each with its own manager and staff, a field staff of two and a dairy farms records clerk. He will also be required to undertake some teaching. The field staff, by arrangement with the appointee, will work at times on No. 4 Dairy Unit for which the Head of the Farm Management Department is responsible. The appointee will take part in the teaching programme of the Dairy | Husbandry Department, which involves Farming {Diploma as well as Agricultural Science and Veterinary ! Science teaching at graduate ! and undergraduate levels; and ’the extension activities of the Department. He will have the opportunity to take part in experimental work with dairy cattle. Preferred qualifications are a degree in Agricultural Science with experience in Dairy Husbandry and Farm Management. Some experience in extension or advisory work would be valuable.

Salary will be in the Lecturer scale ($6575 to $8343 in six steps) per annum, depending on qualifications. An excellent house is provided as part of the salary.
