CV.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, Nov. 12. A Greymouth writer, Kerry Hulme, aged 26, has won first prize in the Te Awamutu Festival Society’s short-story competition, held in conjunction with its fifth biennial festival. The judge, Mrs Joyce Reid, of Auckland, said that Miss Hulme’s entry “stood : head and shoulders” above ■the other 112 entries.
