The declaration left the World team needing 364 to win. By the close, the English openers, H. Pilling and M. Brearley, had scored 51. This is the second match in aid of Pakistan’s flood relief fund, and a record crowd attended. Scores;— World XI 339 and 51/0, Pakistan 385/5 declared and 318/6 declared <Talat 54, Raja 50.
