A police search along the (foreshore between Sumner (and the Lyttelton heads was called off at dusk last evenling without any sign being 'found of a man missing from (his home in Christchurch for (a week. The man is Colin Gilbert Handley, aged 53, a sickness beneficiary, of 50 Jolie Street. | Linwood. His car was found! abandoned at Taylor’s Mistake on Wednesday evening. Sergeant R. G. Gargett and five other policemen took part in the search yesterday, which covered a large area of beach and rocky foreshore. Mr Handlev has blue eves, a tan comntexion and short dark hair. When last seen he was wearing green cordurov trousers, an anricot-coloured shirt, a green tie, green soorts coat, fawn casual shoes and possiblv a green hat.
