: A three-bedroomed house at 25 Courtney Street, St Albans, on a 23.7-perch section zoned R 1 was sold for $14,000 when offered for auction yesterday. The auctioneer was Mr R. A. C. Smith, of Smiths City Market, Ltd. The government valuation of the property was $5600.

A 20-perch section containing an old house and zoned R 3 at 12 Berry Street was sold for $11,750 when offered at auction by Mr E. G. Keenan, of Binns, Barber and Keenan, Ltd. The government valuation (1969) was $3500. Another property offered by Mr Keenan, a threebedroomed house at 40 York Street. Onawa, was passed in at $7250. A brick house at 157 Wairakei Road. Brvndwr, was passed in at $20,000. The auctioneer was Mr D. O. Chapman, of Ford and Hadfield. Ltd.
