Barrier arms to provide revenue for beach improve-: ments and paid life-saving patrols will be investigated; by the Rangiora County; Council. The council will ask the Lands and Survey Department about the installation of
1 barrier parking arms at Waikuku. Woodend, Pines, and Kairaki beaches. “We have! ' got to have the department’s! approval before anything can ( be done. If we can get an : indication of its attitude, we! ; would be well on the way.”| said Mr D. Ensor.
