Kentucky-fried this month

The first Kentucky fried chicken store in Christchurch will be opened later this month. Two more are planned for the Christchurch area.

The store now being built in Riccarton Road will be the ninth in New Zealand. Kentucky Fried Chicken (N.Z.), Ltd, opened the first in Auckland two years ago. There are now four in Auckland, one in Hamilton, one in Rotorua, one in Wellington, and one in Dunedin. The Christchurch store, which is being built by B. J. Phillips, Ltd, under the supervision of Hardie and Anderson, will sell the chicken prepared to a secret recipe devised by Colonel Harland B. Sanders, and which is now known and eaten in many countries.
