; The first centennial fellow of the University of Canterbury was announced by the university council yesterday. I He is Dr J. E. Fergusson, a reader in the chemistry department, who will leave for Suva next February and return in December, 1974 I Of the names submitted to the University of the South [Pacific, Dr Fergusson’s was (chosen because of his suitability in terms of the requirements of undergrade | ate study in the School of Natural Resources there, the university council was told. !
