(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) MELBOURNE, August 23. Dividends paid by General Motors-Holden’s Pty, Ltd, to its parent company have exceeded eamings for the second year in succession. The annual report shows that since December 31 the company has declared a sl7m dividend, payable to General Motors Corporation. As previously reported, the net profit for 1972 dropped 19 per cent to its lowest i point for 19 years at $15.3m. In 1971, when earned $18.9m, its dividend payment amounted to $23.0m. Apart from a one-para-graph reference in the statutory statements, the annual report does not comment on the dividend which, despite its deferred declaration, relates to the 1972 financial year.
