Aidershot wins on flat
Aidershot, the winner of last two races as a steeplechaser, showed he has retained speed on the flat, easily whining the Westenra Cup for amateur riders at Riccarton on Saturday. Piccolo and The Big Ape fought on well, but the rest were well beaten. Result:— ALDERSHOT F. C. Anscombe and E. J. Smart’s ch g by Resurgent—Royal Tattoo 7vrs 11-5 D. Paulin 1 PICCOLO Mrs and W. D.
