Triples bowls title to Williamson

A. E. Williamson added another indoor bowls title to his record when on Saturday he convincingly won the final of the Canterbury triples tournament. Williamson was partnered by B. and Mrs V. McLeod.

In the final. Williamson beat M. | Berkeley’s team of Mrs M. De j Vries and N. E Hocking, 15-6. ! There was an entry of 185! teams for the tournament, of which 59 qualified. The winner last year, L. G. McLennan, went I out in the second round, beaten! 8-4 by G. L. Barnes. In the final, Williamson led, 5-3. after seven ends, and then made such a victory by scoring 10 points on the next four ends.
