Shell AGRICULTURAL REPRESENTATIVES Inquiries are invited for the position of Agricultural Representative from men with a degree in agriculture or a very good diploma backed by practical farming experience. Commercial experience would also be an advantage. The Agricultural Representative will be responsible for the sale of Shell chemical and petroleum products to the farming industry in a given territory. He is required to visit farmers, stock and station agents, dairy companies, contractors and local bodies to ascertain their needs, discuss their problems and recommend suitable products and/or procedures to help in resolving these. Liaison with farm advisory officers is necessary and the dissemination of information and ideas to groups of people is an important part of the job. Some assistance with research and development projects for Shell agricultural chemicals will be required from time to time. Training in the Company’s products and methods will be provided, and on appointment to a territory the successful applicant will be enabled to own and run a new car.
