Shortage of opponents

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. A shortage of suitable oppopents threatens to prevent the outstanding Auckland light middle-weight amateur boxer, L. Revill, having an opportunity of seeking a world amateur title at Madison Square Garden, New York, in September. Revill, a 19-year-old apprentice carpeter, has won 28 of his 32 bouts during the last four years, culminating in the New Zealand championship last year and a gold medal at the Oceania Games this month.

Through Oceania, Revill has been invited to contest the world amateur boxing championships at Madison Square Garden.
