Protests in Britain
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, June 17. A letter calling on Britain to end her alliance with Portugal was handed in today at No. 10 Downing Street, on the 600th anniversary of the pact. Lord Gifford, chairman of the Committee for Freedom in Mozambique, Angola, and Guinea, presented the let-, ter, which expressed feelings of anger and shame over what it described as “Portugal’s dictatorship and colonial rule.”
