Bangor horse trials

Yukon, ridden by E. McGrath,; and Sentinel, ridden by J. Burgess. were first equal in the open event for riders over 16 years at the annual open and intermediate horse trials held at Bangor, Darfield. There was a substantial increase in the number of intermediate entries this year, and the cross-country built for this grade was up to standard, but not testing enough for the open classes, as the fences were not raised. Results were: OPEN Under 14 years—Over all: S. I Bell (Penny Lane) 1. Under 16 years—Dressage: J. Minehan (Ricochet) 1, T. Chang (Sporting Sam) 2. Cross-country: Ricochet and Sporting Sam, equal 1. Overall: Ricochet 1, Sporting Sam 2. Over 16 years—Dressage: E. McGrath (Yukon) and J. Burgess (Sentinel) equal 1, Mrs A. Sampson (Biggin Hill) 3. Crosscountry: Yukon, Mrs J. Lamb i Koran), Sentinel and A. Gray (Pukeffianu) equal 1. Over all:
