WOOL PRICE RISES
(N.Z. Press Association) NAPIER, June 15. The 1972-73 wool season . ended well at the combined j Auckland and Napier sale, held at Napier today. Prices were up about 5 per cent to 71 per cent for most of the wool offered, compared with the Wanganui-Welling-ton sale on May 30, said the official report. Twenty bales of highyielding second-shear wool | from central Hawke’s Bay topped the bidding at 194 c a kilo. Second-shear, early shorn and shear oddments com-1 prised 80 per cent of the offering. The second-shear was generally a very good: end-of-season offering, includ-i ing some well-grown good to super types of wool. Competition was keen and widespread.
