Chi in Iran

(X.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) TEHERAN, June 14. The Chinese Foreign Minister (Mr Chi Peng-fei), arrived in Iran today for a three day official visit at the invitation of the Foreign Minister (Mr Abbas Ali Khalatbary). He ended a three day visit to France by telling President Georges Pompidou that China had no wish to be a super Power. The United States Presidential envoy, Dr Henry Kissinger, took advantage of Mr Chi’s presence in Paris to make a surprise call at the Chinese Ambassador’s residence for talks with Mr Chi lasting about an hour. Mr Chi visited Britain earlier on this trip. With his visit to France, he has now gone to two major nations of the Common Market—an organisation which China would like; to see strengthened as a counterpoise to the super ( Powers, and especially the Soviet Union. Chinese sources said his trip! to Britain was very suc-| cessful, and the visit to’ France “very fruitful.”
