Extra air service

The first of National Airways Corporation’s two additional services between Christchurch and Timaru each week started on Tuesday. The service runs on Tuesdays and Fridays, a DC3 leaving Christchurch at 9.20 a.m., arriving at Timaru at 10.45 a.m., and returning to Christchurch at 11.50 a.m. On Tuesday only one passenger !was aboard the DC3 on its [return flight to Christchurch. N.A.C. runs a normal evening flight to Timaru. the aircraft ! returning to Christchurch the 'next morning.
