Two killed in Poland
(N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM. A young New Zealand couple have lost their lives in a car accident in Poland. ■ They were Bryan Neil Williamson, aged 28, formerly of Blenheim, and his wife Lynnette Ruth Williamson,, aged 27. formerly Miss Simmons, of Danne-! virke. Mr Williamson’s father, Mr A. A. Williamson, of Seymour Street, Blenheim, has ! received no details of the ■ accident. His son and I daughter-in-law were on a six-week tour of the Continent. Mr Williamson, jun., was a film editor with the British Broadcasting Corporation. He left Blenheim about 10 years ago and since worked in Australia and South Africa before going to London.
Dearer newsprint. — Newspaper publishers throughout New Zealand will pay 2| per cent more for their newsprint from July 1. The increase, after last year’s 21 per cent price rise, means a 2204.61 b tonne of newsprint will now cost $139.90, compared with the present price of $138.68 a 22401 b ton.—(P.A.)
