Merivale house brings $29,000
A three-bedroom house on 38.4 perches at 19 Merivale Lane was sold at auction yesterday for $29,000. It has a (jovernment valuation of $9450.
The auctioneer was Mr T. H. Gibbon, of T. H. Gibbon and Company, Ltd. Twenty-five acres of land at 280 Cashmere Road, subdivided into five paddocks, was sold at auction for •855,644 (about $2200 an acre). The land has a Government valuation of $25,250. Lot one. consisting of about two acres, on the same property, was sold for $15,000. It included a nine-roomed cottage and numerous outbuildings, and has a Government valuation of $6OOO. Mr W. R. Flanagan, of Wrightson-NMA, Ltd, was the auctioneer. Two self-contained flats on a section of 34 perches, zoned Residential 111, at 570 Moorhouse Avenue, was sold at auction for $15,500. The property has a Government valuation of $5750. Mr E. G. Keenan was the auctioneer, for Binns. Barber and Keenan. Ltd. A three-bedroomed bungalow on 24 perches of land at 114 Aorangi Road, Bryndwr, was told at auction for $16,500. It has a Government valuation of! $6BOO. Mr C. M. was passed in at $14,000. It has a Government valuation of $5BOO. Mr R. G. Bell, of R. G. Bell and Company, was the auctioneer. A 40.5-perch section with buildings, situated at 163-165 St Asaph Street, and 18 and 20 Mollett Street, was passed in at auction for $68,000. The property, which has a Government valuation of $39,500, was auctioned by Mr D. Lee, of Mercer Real Estate.
