Poor news on cloud-seeding
C.V.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM, June 12. Marlborough as a site for possible research work on cloud-seeding had not received a favourable report from the Australian C.5.1.R.0. expert, Dr P. Smith, said the president of Marlborough Federated Farmers (Mr F. J. Murray) to the district drought committee. He said that Dr Smith believed that normal cloud formations in Marlborough were not conducive to good results from cloud-seeding. He had suggested other areas, such as Taupo, as more appropriate for research work.
