$24,000 for Styx land
Seven acres and a half of bare land between the Styx River and Styx Mill Road, near Highsted Road, were sold at auction yesterday for $24,000. The Government valuation is $11,450. The auctioneer was Mr R. Park, of Dalgety Real Estate, Ltd. Two blocks of land at the comer of Trices and Longstaffs Roads, Halswell, were sold at auction yesterday, the smaller block, of three acres three roods 22 perches, being sold for $13,700, and the other, of 16 acres 20 perches, selling for $32,000.
Two other blocks at the corner of Trices and Ellesmere Roads were passed in at $27,500 and $26,000 when offered separately, and also passed in, at $54,000, when offered together. They measure 11 acres one rood 33 perches, and 12 acres 28 perches respectively. The auctioneer was Mr W. R. Flanagan, of WrightsonNMA. Ltd.
