Wrangling between major oil-producing countries and [Western companies over higher oil prices entered a fifth day in Geneva today amid signs that the two sides had narrowed their differences. But officials were reluctant to make any forecast on whether an agreement would be reached to break the three-month deadlock between the powerful 11-nation Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries and the companies, which number more than 20.
