Blast near Saigon
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SAIGON, June 1.
Viet Cong guerrillas blew up a South Vietnamese ammunition dump within 12 miles of Saigon just before dawn today. Subsequent explosions, which continued until noon, shook doors and windows in Saigon. Initial field reports say that 10 Government soldiers were wounded, and that more than 400 tons of artillery and mortar ammunition were destroyed.
International Commission of Control and Supervision sources say that a preliminary investigation by the Canadian team from Bien Hoa has shown that the explosions were set off by four satchel charges.
