Ahead of time
Radio - controlled wristwatches, all telling the same time, may eventually replace the conventional time-piece, according to Mr Mohamed Mili, secretary-general of the 146-nation International Telecommunications Union. He said yesterday that work on a wrist-watch-sized receiverdisplay unit was already under way. Such units would receive and display the time sent out from a central transmitting station.—Vienna, June 1.
