Demonstrations at Deep Freeze base

Sir,—May I add my congratulations to those of B. H. Roscoe (“The Press,” May 27) on the convoy of cyclists; on their peaceful protest! against Deep Freeze as al general-purpose military base, recently. They are indeed dedicated and deep-thinking people, and it is a great pity more didn’t join their ranks in such a worthy cause, which was so peaceful and dignified, yet getting their important message across. All honour to them.—Yours, etc., PENSIONER. May 31, 1973.
