COMMERCIAL Capital raised for salt works

BLENHEIM, May 25.
A new company, with a capital of $900,000, has been registered in Blenheim. It is Dominion Salt (North Island), Ltd, a private company formed to administer the Mount Maunganui salt works.
The Mount Maunganui works are being developed, contracts worth about $300,000 having been let early this year. The directorate of Dominion Salt (North Island) is the same as that of Dominion Salt, Ltd, which is owned jointly by Skellerup Industries, Ltd, Cerebos (New Zealand), Ltd, and the company! operates the solar-salt works; at Lake Grassmere, Bien-1 heim, and the Mount Maunganui works. The general manager (Mr C. R. Ball) and
the secretary and commercial manager (Mr J. W. Eggers), both of Blenheim, hold the same positions with both companies. The object of the new company is salt-manufacture.
The subscribers to Dominion Salt (North Island) with equal shares are Skellerup Industries, Ltd, Cerebos (New I Zealand), Ltd, and the De-! velopment Finance Corporation of New Zealand. Its directors are Messrs P. J. R. Skellerup and V. R. D. Reid (Wellington), L. H. Stevens-Jones (Singapore), J. K. Rogers (Auckland), C. W. O. Turner (Waikanae), and P. E. Webb (Wellington). Mr G. G. Skellerup (Christchurch) has been made an interim member of the board, in place of the late Mr T. J. McKee.
