The International Council of Nurses has threatened to expel the South African Nursing Association unless it admits non-white nurses to its board of directors. A resolution to this effect was passed by the governing body of the Geneva-based 1.C.N., which groups the nursing associations of 74 countries.

The council gave the South African Association until January I, 1975, to rectify the shortcoming. -.
