Fairlie man killed
(N.Z. Press Association; TIMARU, May 20. A motorist was killed tonight when his car failed to negotiate a bend on the Fairlie-Geraldine highway and plunged 200 ft into a gorge. He was
Norman Martin, aged about 57, a. snack-bar proprietor, of Fairlie.
The accident occurred at [5.45 p.m., about seven miles’ least of Fairlie. Mr Martin’s car landed: almost alongside another I vehicle that went off the road about eight months ago. Last year a big sheep truck hurtled over at the same spot, ; killing two persons.
