Photographic fellowship

(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, April 29. Mrs Margaret Bake, of New Plymouth, has been awarded a fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society, less than two years after gaining an associateship. It is understood she is the first woman in New Zealand to obtain a fellowship. She joins about 10 New Zealand male amateur and professional photographers who have received the award. She was required to submit a selection of 18 photographs and written material to the examining board in London. The photographs are judged on style and interpretation.
