NEW RADIO HEARING
CV Z Pretf Asportation* WELLINGTON. The problem of who. if anyone. will run a private radio station in Wellington will begin anew on May 14 when the Broadcasting Authority will hear fresh applications from Wellington-Hutt Radio and Radio Wellington. The authority originally granted a warrant to Welling-ton-Hutt Radio in July last year, in preference to Radio Wellington. However, after much wrangling over a site for the transmitter, the Supreme Court upheld appeals by Radio Wellington and the N.Z.B.C.
A Wellington-Hutt Radio spokesman said that the transmitter site had been changed in new application, otherwise it was similar to the first.
