Conference in Christchurch

Up to three delegates each from 35 clubs, and observers will attend the annual conference of the New Zealand Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs in Christchurch from June 1 to 4. Reports will be given to the conference from the international president (Miss Nazla Dane), the national president (Mrs Dorothy Raymond), and other officers and committees of the federation. Remits on education, nuclear weapons, and federation business will be discussed. The federation has a membership of 1791, in 37 clubs, according to the report by the membership chairman (Mrs M. Hislop).

A new club will be formed in Greymouth soon and contacts have been made in Huntly, Porirua, and New Plymouth towards forming clubs in those centres.
