ATTEMPT TO GATE-CRASH

Eight youths on charges (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 29. Eight youths will appear in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court tomorrow in connection with an attempt to gatecrash a party in Point Chevalier last night. [ Police said that the youths [arrived at the party at 10.47 p.m. and left after being told [to do so. However, the same youths [ returned to the address about [12.45 a.m. and. after smashing bottles against the side jof the house, assaulted two people at the party. One person was hit on the head with a bottle. Each of the eight youths will be charged with two counts of assault—one laid under the Crimes Act, and 'the other under the Police Offences Act. ’
