STOCK FEED PRICES
Amendment to regulations GV.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The regulations holding prices of stock feed, grains and stock food based on feed grains at March 5 levels had amended to give the Price Tribunal greater freedom to deal with anomalies, said the Minister of Trade and Industry (Mr Freer). “The regulations originally provided that a price could be increased only where a person established to the satisfaction of the Price Tribunal that failure to do so would result in a serious deterioration in the financial stability of his business,” Mr Freer said. “Now the Price Tribunal may in special circumstances fix such maximum prices as it thinks fit for goods to which the regulations apply, or for any specified kind or kinds of such goods.”
