Massie pressed his ! claims for inclusion in the team for the fourth test against the West Indies ( with a brilliant seven for 52 I in Australia’s 40-run victory over Guyana yesterday. A punishing 118 by the left-hander, R. F, Fredericks, (put Guyana within sight of 'victory but the inexperienced (side lost its last six wickets for only 75 runs. Massie took six for 20 in his second spell of 10.4 overs. ; He switched ends to gain his big successes after claiming one for 32 off six overs at the other end. His brilliant bowling gave Australia its fifth first-class Ivictory on the West Indies tour, including the third test won by Australia in Trinidad. The fourth test starts tomorrow. Fredericks, who followed his splendid 158 in the first innings with 118 in 162 minutes, including 16 boundaries, shared an 89-run partnership with C. H. Lloyd, who made only 19. When Lloyd was bowled just after lunch Guyana needed 150 runs to win with seven wickets in hand. But the dismissal of Fredericks at 159 off Massie’s second over of a new spell started the Guyana collapse.
