Town Hall pleases
Mrs Diana Menuhin, wife of the violinist, Yehudi Menuhin, has written a letter praising the Christchurch Town Hall to Mr H. G. Hay, chairman of the Town Hall Board of Management. “The experience of playing in your beautiful new auditorium and seeing the whole fascinating complex made our stay in New Zealand end on a happy and memorable note,” she writes. “I do congratulate you all on the vision, talent and energy which are so very clearly to be seen in every angle of the lovely building. Christchurch Tow'n Hall should hold its own as a unique and splendid edifice equal to any other such anywhere in the world.”
