Failed to stop

Sir, —Sorrow and anger have prompted me to write this letter. Today my six-year-old watched her small pet dog run over. I’m the first to admit that these things happen. But was it necessary for the driver to carry on without the decency to stop and make sure the animal was in no further pain? This, and not the act is what I cannot forgive. If my name and address are published perhaps the driver will be able to make amends. —Yours, etc., (Mrs) G. J. PARRY. April 1, 1973.
