Secretary. 2023 CANTERBURY EDUCATION BOARD ELECTION OF SCHOOL COMMITTEES The Board, in pursuance of the ! pow er conferred by the Educa Ilion Act (1964) and its Amendments hereby directs that a public meeting of householders be held in each school district in the Canterbury Education Dis trict. with the exception of (special schools, district high schools and intermediate schools, lon Monday. Aprii 16, 1973. at half past seven o’clock in the ! evening, for the election of r. ■ school committee for each dis- . trict. such committee to hold j office lor two years A public meeting of housei holders to elect committees for district high schools will be held iat each of these schools on I Wednesday May 2 1973. at 7.3 u i p.m. Where the grading roll which I determined the grade of any 1 school for 1973 did not exceed WO children, the number of members of the school committee 'to be elected at that meeting shall be five; where that roll number was over W0 and not (over 200. the number of mem- . bers to be elected as aforesaid shall be seven; and where the ! roll number is 200, the number of members to be elected as aforesaid shall be nine. ! The Board further calls upon 'the householders in each district to send in to the Chairman of the School Committee, in writ- ' ing on or before Monday, April W. not later than 8.00 p.m. (in the case of primary schools) and 1 Wednesday. April 25 (in the cast {of district high schools) the names of persons being house holders nominated by them io serve upon the committee.
