Sections sold in Rangiora
Eight sections at the corner of Charles and King Streets, Rangiora, with frontages to the north and east were sold at auction for a total price of $33,600 last evening. The sections, varying from a 253-perch front section to a 34.2-perch back section, fetched prices ranging from $4OOO to $4400. All the sections were sold to private buyers at the auction, which attracted 52 members of the public. The auction was conducted by Mr R. H. Holland, of The Farmers’, on benalf of the estate of Mrs M G. Maynard. Daytime courses Daytime courses for retired persons over 60 will begin after Easter. The classes, organised by the Aged People’s Welfare Council and the W.E.A., will be held on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will cover the following provisional courses:, physical education, painting, French, Maori studies, literature, current affairs, and ef-, fective speech.
