The official report said that the main buyer for the 20,635 bales offered today was the Continent, with continued support from Eastern Europe. Japan, Bradford and NewZealand mills w'ere active on wools suited to their requirements. The market, compared with the .first day, was described as: first and second lambs’ wool, firm; skirtings, second ■ shear and short oddments, in i sellers’ favour; and fleece in sellers’ favour, especially i poorer style wools. Union visitor.—The head of the international department of the Russian equivalent of the Federation of Labour is visiting New Zealand. He is Mr B. Averynof, of. the Central Council of Trade Unions.
