BANKS PENINSULA HYDATIDS CONTROL COMMITTEE PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant tp the provisions of the Hydatids Act, 1968. and amendments, the above Committee have set the following Hydatids Fees for 1973-1974. in the Committee’s area covering the Counties of:— Wairewa, Akaroa. Mt Herbert. Heathcote, and the Borough of Lyttelton. (a) Four Dollars ($4) per dog for each and every dog in the Committee’s area aged three (3) months or over as at April 1. 1973. ib) With the provision that such fee be reduced by thirty (50.30) cents per months for each month (after the month of April) which passes before the do« attains the age of Three (3) months. Hydatids Fees are payable with Registration Fees. W. F. AYDON. Secretary. PLEASE NOTE —The Hydatids Amendment, 1972, has made a number of important changes to the Act, three important changes are set out below for the benefit of dog owners. 1. A mandatory additional charge of §lO is payable for each dog in cases where the dog is dosed and the purged material from that dog is found to contain “Hydatids” as defined in the Act. This provision came into force on November 1. 1972. 2. All dogs must be registered on attaining the age of three months and Hydatids Fees are payable at the time of registration. 3. It is an offence to feed anv dog anv untreated sheep or goat meat. 3023
